World Day of Prayer 2027

Christians from across Buckden and the surrounding villages are warmly invited to gather for the World Day of Prayer 2027, a special moment of shared worship and global connection.

Held on Friday 5 March 2027, this year’s celebration is particularly significant, marking the centenary of the World Day of Prayer movement—a hundred years of prayer, unity, and action across the world.

🙏 United in prayer

Prepared as part of a worldwide movement, the 2027 service carries the theme:
“United in Prayer for Justice and Peace.”

Through prayer, reflection, and music, the service draws together voices from across nations and traditions, reminding us of our shared calling to seek justice, peace, and compassion in the world.

🤝 A gathering of the local churches

Organised by Buckden Churches Together, this is an opportunity for people from all Christian traditions—and anyone who wishes to join—to come together in a spirit of unity.

The service offers:

  • a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere
  • an opportunity to share in a global act of prayer
  • time to meet others and strengthen local connections

🌟 An open invitation

All are warmly welcome—whether you are a regular churchgoer or simply curious to take part in something wider than ourselves.

Come and be part of a moment that connects Buckden with communities across the world, united in prayer and hope.

✨ A global prayer, shared locally

In joining together on this day, we take our place within a worldwide movement—standing alongside others in prayer for justice, peace, and the good of all.
