The first of our Summer Sessions in the Garden took place in the beautiful surroundings of the historic Knot Garden at Buckden Towers, and what a wonderful way it was to begin this year’s series of summer concerts.
Visitors enjoyed an afternoon of live music from the talented Gilly Lee and the young local band Snowdeer, whose performances created a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere that perfectly complemented the unique setting of the Knot Garden. It was a pleasure to see so many people making the most of the sunshine, enjoying time with family and friends, and discovering everything that Buckden Towers has to offer.
Throughout the afternoon, the Pomegranate Tearoom and Bar provided a popular meeting place, serving a range of refreshments including tea, coffee, delicious homemade cakes, light snacks, soft drinks, beer and wine. Many visitors took the opportunity to relax, explore the grounds and enjoy the hospitality that has become such a valued part of events at Buckden Towers.
Today’s concert was just the beginning.
There are two more opportunities to enjoy live music in the Knot Garden during August:
- Sunday 23 August – featuring Lucy Jane Lock and Steve Bean.
- Sunday 30 August – featuring Steve Buttercase and Fenland Booty.
Each afternoon offers something a little different, combining outstanding local musical talent with one of Cambridgeshire’s most beautiful historic settings. Whether you came today or have yet to discover the Summer Sessions, we would be delighted to welcome you to one—or both—of the remaining concerts.
The Summer Sessions are helping to support both Buckden Towers and The Angels Foundation UK, making every ticket purchased a contribution towards preserving this remarkable historic site while supporting an important charitable cause.
