Social Activities at Buckden Towers
Buckden Towers is more than a historic site — it is a living part of the community. In recent years we have worked closely with a number of partner organisations that help bring the Towers to life through events, activities, and community engagement.
These partnerships play an important role in helping us maintain the historic buildings and grounds, while also opening Buckden Towers to a wider audience. Through cultural events, social gatherings, and seasonal celebrations, visitors and local residents alike can enjoy the Towers in new and meaningful ways.
Regular activities for the Local Community.
Although Buckden Towers is a private property the owners allow it to be open to the public and allow for a range of activities to take place to benefit the local community. The wildlife and sheep and pigs in the grounds of the Towers attract people young and old to visit. local dog walkers are welcome on the condition they keep their dogs on a lead and clean up any mess that is made to ensure that other guests are not inconvenienced during their visits. in addition to the larger social events that are organised from time to time, their are a range of smaller activities that take place that allow our facilities to be appreciated.
Youth Groups
During term times there is the opportunity for younger members of the local community to gather together and take part in the youth club.
Exercise and Fitness
Walking football, the traveling Gym a few of the activities to keep the community healthy.
Hobbies and Fun
On many a Saturday morning you will see model car enthusiasts racing their cars in the grounds
Buckden Learning Group
During term time on Tuesday mornings there are learning opportunities for the older members of the community.
Animals and livestock .
Parents love to bring their children to see the animals that are present at Buckden Towers. The piglets arrive in November and the lambs in the springtime.

Friends of Buckden Towers
The Friends of Buckden Towers is a dedicated group of volunteers who support the preservation and promotion of this historic site. Through a variety of social and fundraising events, they help raise awareness and contribute to the ongoing care of the Towers.

Shakespeare at the Towers
Shakespeare at the Towers brings open-air theatre to the historic setting of Buckden Towers. Each year, the group stages lively and engaging performances of Shakespeare’s works in the beautiful surroundings of the Towers’ grounds.

Pomegranate Events plays an important role in organising community celebrations and gatherings at Buckden Towers. Their activities help ensure that the site remains a vibrant meeting place for local residents and visitors alike.
