One of the highlights of our summer programme at Buckden Towers has once again been Proms at the Towers, an evening that brought together wonderful live music, a relaxed atmosphere and the unique setting of our historic grounds.
Visitors arrived throughout the evening with picnic blankets and chairs, taking time to enjoy the beautiful surroundings before the music began. Many explored the gardens, met with friends and family, and enjoyed refreshments available throughout the evening, creating a welcoming community atmosphere long before the first notes were played.
As the sun began to set behind the ancient walls of Buckden Towers, the music came alive. The combination of outstanding live performances and the magnificent backdrop of one of Cambridgeshire’s most historic sites created a memorable experience that was enjoyed by visitors of all ages. There is something quite special about listening to live music in the open air, surrounded by centuries of history, where the beauty of the setting becomes as much a part of the performance as the music itself.
Events such as Proms at the Towers reflect our vision for Buckden Towers as a place where heritage, culture, hospitality and community come together. Alongside our life of prayer and welcome, we are delighted to host events that encourage people to spend time together, discover this remarkable place and enjoy evenings of exceptional entertainment.
