The social life of the parish brings people together, strengthens community bonds, and supports the wider mission of the Claretian community.

There are many opportunities throughout the year to take part, contribute, and help shape the welcoming spirit of Buckden Towers.

Parish Barbecue (July)

Each year, at the end of the catechetical programme, the parish gathers for a barbecue following the 10:00am Sunday Mass.

All parishioners are warmly invited. It is a relaxed and joyful occasion, especially for families, offering an opportunity to celebrate the year together and build friendships within the community.

Epiphany Party

Around the Feast of the Epiphany, on the nearest Sunday afternoon, the parish hosts a special gathering.

This event brings together all those who help and support Buckden Towers. It is an occasion for the Claretian community to express gratitude for the generosity, time, and commitment of so many people.

Sunday Teas

After the 10:00am Sunday Mass, refreshments are often served, providing a valuable opportunity for parishioners and visitors to meet and talk.

Donations offered during these gatherings support the Claretian mission in Zimbabwe, linking local hospitality with global outreach.

CAFOD and Charitable Support

The parish actively supports CAFOD and other charitable initiatives.

Through fundraising, awareness, and prayer, parishioners contribute to projects that support communities in need around the world, reflecting the Church’s commitment to social justice.
