19.30 – 21.30 27th January

Epiphany of the Lord

Each year, on the Feast of the Epiphany, the community at Buckden Towers gathers to celebrate this important day—and to share in a moment of joy, gratitude, and togetherness.

As a Holy Day of Obligation, the day begins with Mass in the parish of St Hugh of Lincoln. All are warmly welcome to take part in the liturgy. At the same time, we recognise that not everyone may feel familiar or comfortable attending a Catholic service—and so the invitation is very much open: you are equally welcome to join us afterwards for the celebration, whether or not you attend the Mass.

🍲 A celebration of gratitude

Following the service, the Claretian Missionaries invite everyone to come together for a shared time of hospitality, with hot food, refreshments, and drinks provided.

This gathering is extended to:

  • parishioners
  • the Friends of Buckden Towers
  • the gardeners and those who care for the grounds
  • volunteers, supporters, and all who contribute in any way to the life of the Towers

More than a social occasion, this is the Claretian community’s opportunity to say a heartfelt “thank you”—recognising the many ways in which people support and sustain Buckden Towers throughout the year.

It has become something of an end-of-Christmas celebration: a final moment of festivity, warmth, and generosity before the rhythm of the year begins again.

🌟 An open invitation

This is an event for the whole community.
Whether you are:

  • deeply involved in the life of the Towers
  • connected through one of the many groups
  • or simply someone who appreciates and supports what happens here

—you are warmly invited.

Families, individuals, friends, and visitors are all welcome to come along, meet others, and share in the atmosphere of welcome and friendship.

✨ A moment to gather

In the spirit of Epiphany—when Christ is revealed to all—this gathering reflects that same openness: a community that is inclusive, grateful, and welcoming, inviting everyone to be part of its life.
